Oak Tree Mortgages are looking for a part time accounts assistant offering a 16 hour working week with the opportunity to work additional hours as and when required. The role offers a flexible working week.
- Identifying and reconciling payments from product providers into our customer database.
- Using Excel to generate commission statements for self employed advisers.
- Recording payments received from product providers into QuickBooks accounts software.
- Reconciling bank statements.
- Using QuickBooks to prepare management reports.
- Running the company payroll system.
You will need to have good administrative skills, working in a clear and organised fashion. A confidence with IT is essential, although one-to-one training will be given so you become proficient with the different systems we use. You will need to have an eye for detail and be able to think laterally. The ability to work to a deadline is important. You should be happy to work in your own office, away from the noise and distractions of the main office environment.
We offer an hourly rate of pay between £10 and £12.50 per hour, dependent on experience. The successful applicant will have some flexibility in determining their working week. The statutory holiday entitlement for this position is 90 hours, which we have increased to 108 hours per year to take account of the business closure between Christmas and New Year. We will offer membership of our work place pension scheme in due course.
You will be based at our offices on the Stratford Road in Shirley. The offices are roughly 20 minutes from Birmingham City centre and less than 10 minutes from junction 4 of the M42. You can park close by on one of the side roads close to our office. The old Library car park behind Staples office shop affords all day parking for £2.
